Spaghetti Girl “Napolitan” is Back with Her Rival “Meat Sousui” Voiced by Maaya Uchida
Do you remember Napolitan voiced by Haruka Yoshimura (Mika Jogasaki in The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls), Japanese processed food company Kagome’s promotional girl appeared one year ago? Now she is back with her rival character Meat Sousui (commander-in-chief) voiced by Maaya Uchida (Hurricane Honey in Cutie Honey Universe). The company is best known for its tomato-based products, like ketchup and juice.
While Napolitan took its motif from Spaghetti Napolitan, a Japanese style pasta dish made with a sauce that is tomato ketchup based, Meat Sousui is inspired by Spaghetti Meat Source (spaghetti with meat sauce). Both of the two fairy characters are designed by Mika Pikazo, who has worked on many light novel cover illustrations, including Ai Iwazawa’s Kirapuri Ojisan to Youjo Senpai.

As with last year, Kagome will set up a booth to promote the characters at the upcoming Nico Nico Chokaigi
2018 event to be held at Makuhari Messe on April 29. The two voice actresses, Yoshimura and Uchida are
scheduled to join for a talk show. In addition, a special stage event to decide the best Japanese spaghetti
dish is also planned at 13:00 on the day. An online poll for the event has been conducted here. You can vote
for either of the two, Napolitan or Meat Sauce, once in a day.
