Six Heroes (and One Bureaucrat) Join the Cast of My Hero Academia

The “Pro Hero Provisional License Exam” arc is in full swing in My Hero Academia, the ongoing TV adaptation based on Kohei Horikoshi’s shonen manga about a new generation young people training to become professional superheroes, and now seven new characters have joined the cast. The new cast members include:

Yuuta Kasuya as Yo Shindo.

Mariko Nagai as Miss Joke.

Megumi Han as Tatami Nakagame.

Hiromichi Kogami as Shikkui Makabe.

Kenta Ōkuma as Itejiro Toteki.

Volcano Ota as Nagamasa Moura.

And Masami Iwasaki as Yokumiru Mera.

The original My Hero Academia manga is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump shonen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media. The My Hero Academia TV anime is directed by Kenji Nagasaki and features animation production by BONES. Crunchyroll and Funimation currently stream My Hero Academia in North America, and describe the story as follows:

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
