Saitama Prefecture’s Soka Commissions New Anime for City’s 60th Anniversary

 

Soka-shi in Saitama Prefecture is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a new anime project premiering next month.

 

Kimi no Matsu Basho e is being produced by Pony Canyon in collaboration with Soka as the centerpiece of their 60th anniversary festivities. The project will star Jun’ya Enoki, Youko Honna, Ai Kakuma, and Izumi Sawada, and focus on displaying the history and geography of the city as part of its story.

 

Singer and pianist Hanako Oku (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) provides the theme, “Kokoro ga Kaeru Basho.”

Kimi no Matsu Basho e will premiere November 11 at Soka’s Cultural Center, and will be released on YouTube one day later.
