“Peace Maker Kurogane” Takes over Kyoto for Film Tie-In Event

Kyoto is celebrating the new adaptation of Peace Maker Kurogane with an invitation to explore the real settings of the story — and get some fannish goods for your effort.

The upcoming “Kyoto journey stamp rally” will lead participants through historical sites around Kyoto, where they can collect stamps of the show’s characters. Collect all seven, and you’ll earn yourself a pinback button featuring a chibi version of the cast.

Visitors can also check out a Peace Maker Kurogane art show, featuring both art from the original manga and pieces from the upcoming film. The attraction will also have tableaus where you can pose with life-sized cutouts of the characters.

Even if you don’t clear the stamp rally, you can still pick up some cute items. The attraction will be offering sticket sets, tote bags, acrylic charms, and more featuring the characters at their cutest.

And it wouldn’t be a collab event without food! Local cafes will be offering up a few Peace Maker Kurogane-inspired treats, including odango sets, cool drinks, and a “Memories of the Yamazaki Siblings” lunch set:

The event will run from May 26 to July 8. The first new Peace Maker Kurogane film comes to Japanese cinemas June 2.
