“Kiss Him, Not Me” Manga Concludes in “Bessatsu Friend” March Issue

After a run of some 5 years and 14 collected volumes, Kiss Him, Not Me – a manga by Junko about a high school fujoshi who becomes suddenly popular after a dramatic transformation – has published its final chapter in the March 2018 issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend manga magazine, which was published in Japan on February 13, 2018.

Known in the original Japanese as Watashi ga Motete Dōsunda, an English language version of Kiss Him, Not Me is produced by Kodansha Comics and is also available via digital distribution on Crunchyroll Manga, who describe the story as follows:

Kae Serinuma is what you’d call a “fujoshi.” When she sees boys getting along with each other, she loves to indulge in wild fantasies! One day her favorite anime character dies and the shock causes her to lose a ton of weight. Then four hot guys at school ask her out, but that isn’t exciting to her at all — she’d rather see them date each other!

Kiss Him, Not Me was also adapted into a 2016 TV anime with direction by Hiroshi Ishiodori and animation by Brain’s Base.

The 14th and final collected volume of Kiss Him, Not Me will be published in Japan on March 13, 2018. Volume 14 will have two releases: a special edition that comes with a bonus fan book, and a regular edition.
