Kana Hanazawa Voices Japanese Girl in Taiwan’s First Giant Robot Anime Film Baryon
The world premiere screening of Taiwan’s first giant robot anime feature film 重甲機神: 神降臨/Baryon was held at Taichung International Animation Festival 2018 on October 11 as its opening film (the Chinese title literally means Heavy armored machine god: God descends). The plan for the 110-minute original film was launched by a production team in Taiwan in 2014.
And it was confirmed that popular Japanese anime voice actress Kana Hanazawa (Kuroneko in Oreimo, Mayuri Shiina in STEINS;GATE) voices a Japanese girl named Momoko Asanaga and speaks Chinese dialogue in the film. According to one of its two directors, 黄瀛洲/Jo-Jo, voice editing for the film’s finishing stage was done by acclaimed Japanese engineer Makoto Sumiya (Porco Rosso, Rebuild of Evangelion) in Japan.

sea to prepare for the counter-attack. However, they are unware of the sea monsters that will prove to be
the beginning of another nightmare…
